Barbie and Chuck’s ShotBox

During their wedding day, I would joke around with Barbie and Chuck that their wedding was just an excuse to hire ShotBox. Maybe it was? No, just kidding. But ShotBox time was definitely THE time of the day where that Barbie was most excited to experience.

I trust that this collection of photos won’t disappoint. I really enjoyed looking at all of these photos from the reception. They always seem to get crazier and crazier as the night goes on…for some reason. Happy Friday!

Barbie and Chuck’s Wedding at Christ United Methodist Church

I still remember the first time I met Barbie and Chuck when they were planning their wedding.  The reason that I remember them so well is that Barbie mentioned some key things that I really find important. They cared about having a getting married, having a good time (with good friends), with good food (and drinks), and photography. “The important things” they said. Each time I would talk to them as their wedding day neared, the message I got from them was the same.

And thanks to their hard work, the “important things” remained important. Barbie and Chuck were married on Saturday in a ceremony at Christ United Methodist Church in Pittsburgh’s South Hills. Their wedding reception was held just moments away at Holy Cross Greek Orhtodox Church. Their cake was provided by Signature Desserts and catering by All the Best Catering.

Nicki and I started our day of photography while everyone was getting dressed at Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South. The girls had already had their hair done by Brooke Rockwell and Jessica Tyler was just finishing their makeup. The lighting in the hotel room was lovely and everyone was relaxed and ready to have a good time–a great day!

I like when I can catch a special detail during my documentation of the day.

Congratulations, Barbie and Chuck!

Lisa and Andy’s Engagement Photos

Lisa and Andy met when they were in college. They both studied in environmental fields and enjoy the outdoors tremendously. It was a nice treat for me to escape my normal engagement shooting routine and find a place where my clients really enjoy spending their time. They invited me to their home for their engagement photo shoot. They live next to a lake in West Virginia where they love spending time with each other and their two dogs.

Congratulations, Lisa and Andy! I’m looking forward to celebrating with you this October.
